June, Ron and Lana Tibbetts, Ranch owners
Ron Tibbetts is a rancher with years of experience and the motivation to teach
oneself tasks of any type. From plumbing, construction, electrical, mechanical to a top notch cattle breeder and marketer, he is a master of many
things. A visionary, careful, thoughtful, easy going, creative, perfectionist
are all characteristics of his very being. Ron grew up on a sheep/cattle ranch close to Terry. Upon graduating from high
school, he joined the US Navy. After completion of the Navy, Ron returned
home to ranch with his father and two brothers. He married June in 1968 and
moved to the Tibbetts Ranch on Bracket Creek. In the early 70's, they were blessed with two daughters, Lana and Brenda. Ron and June purchased the ranch
from his father in 1981. A knack to be able to take on any task and complete
it, has given him years of personal satisfaction. An eye for good quality
cattle and the ability to market his cattle for top dollar are attributes he
has derived over his years of experience.
June Tibbetts is an energetic, go-getter, hustler, great cook, who is a very
thoughtful, capable, shrewd, and an animal lover of a woman. An experienced
horse and ranch hand, who is involved with all the day to day activities on
the ranch. June was born and raised on a ranch in Circle, MT, her father was a
horse breeder and collector. Her passion for animals began at an early age.
Training and raising American Quarter horses has been a major part of her life. She is an accomplished horsewoman and has been a member of the Women's
Professional Rodeo Association since 1980. June has trained and ridden several top caliber barrel racing horses. A student of alternative medicine,
healthy living and lifestyles, she is a dealer for Dynamite, a nutritional
supplement company serving people and animals.
Lana Tibbetts has a place in her heart for the country. After attending
school in Terry, she a rodeoed for Montana State University, on a full ride
rodeo scholarship. A 1992 National Collegiate Rodeo Champion, she graduated
in 1993 with a Business Marketing Degree. A year or so of traveling and a
couple of years with a 'real job', she decided to start her life at 26 rather
than 36. A gregarious, outgoing, sensitive, creative, athletic, lover of the outdoors, she moved back to the ranch in 1996. Her passion for the animals
and training truly is 'what makes her heart sing.'
